Apple’s Mac App Store is about to turn a year old in January 2012, and this great baby has got over half a billion apps and its users have downloaded over 100 million apps from it. The App Store today hit over 100 million downloads and I just can’t imagine the number of users who would be using it to make it a grand success.
When many other App Store owning companies are proud to have over half a million users using it, Apple has done something different. And this time, the number is just the amount go apps that are residing on the App Store. Here’s the official Statement from the Apple PR.
I think this is a milestone for the Desktop OS based App Stores across the globe. And this has proved to be the best ever app store for the users and the developers! Great job Apple!
